Dream Day on Cape Cod is pleased to announce the appointment of Heather St. Onge to its Board of Directors. Heather and her family have been very active with Dream Day since they first attended eight years ago. They have hosted fundraisers for Dream Day and have volunteered at many of its events. Heather actively promotes the organization to the healthcare community so that others will have the opportunity to come to Dream Day.
“Heather will bring representation to the organization of the population it serves. The impact and advice that is offered representing the viewpoint, needs, and perspective of those that are the beneficiaries of the efforts of the organization is invaluable,” shared Board Member Jack Girvan.
Many in the Dream Day community have met Lucas, her son who has had 5 major organ transplants and is a miracle child. Meet Heather and Lucas here: https://youtu.be/QLKMDty_2mg
“I was a stay-at-home mom for 7 1/2 years to take care of Lucas and all his medical needs. I am currently a Paraprofessional in Haverhill, Ma, where I love being able to help my colleagues inspire young learners to achieve their goals. Dream Day on Cape Cod has meant so much to my family. We have some amazing extended family we never knew we needed because of our experiences with Dream Day. The friendships that we made will last a lifetime. I am truly looking forward to giving others this same experience. I am constantly sharing the information about the organization with anyone that will listen. I look forward to the opportunity to help make sure this camp is around for generations to come,’’ said Heather.
Welcome, Heather. And thank you!
